Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied Scientists (IANCAS)
Founded in 1981, The Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied Scientists (IANCAS) became popular with conducting National Workshops at University/ College level targeting the academia and a one-day school Workshops for School and College students. This activity was initiated with the cardinal objective of popularizing nuclear sciences among the scientific community in our country with emphasis on nuclear and radiochemistry, and the use of radioisotopes & radiation sources in education, research, agriculture, medicine and industry.
Today, it has more than 1800 life members (more than 1000 from colleges/universities) and 20 corporate members. The membership covers a wide spectrum hailing from several internationally reputed research organizations, universities and industries from all over the country and abroad.
