Prof. H.J. Arnikar Best Thesis Award
The Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied Scientists invites applications for the Prof. H.J. Arnikar Best Thesis Award in the field of Radiochemistry and Allied Sciences. The award carries a medal, a citation and Rs.10,000/- in cash. The award will be presented during the Annual General Body meeting of IANCAS, the date and venue of which will be intimated to the selected candidate
Eligibility
1. Ph.D. Degree awarded by any of the Indian Universities preceding two calendar year of the Award e.g. for the calender year 2021, the Ph. D. degree should have been awarded to the candidate between 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2021.
2. The work reported in the thesis should be in any one of the following fields
• Radiochemistry
• Nuclear Chemistry
• Nuclear Materials
• Radioanalytical Chemistry
• Isotope Production
• Radiotracer Studies
• Radioactivity Measurement or
• Any Allied Fields wherein Radioisotopes are Used
3. Age limit : There is no age limit for this award

The applicant shall fill the following online form. On submission of this form, a *.pdf file will be generated. Applicant needs to take a print of this file, and take the signature of the Proposer (PhD Guide). Scan copy of the signed form shall be sent by e-mail to: secretaryiancas@gmail.com. Please mention the application number in the subject line of the e-mail.
Please note: No hard copy of the application form or any other documents will be accepted. Application shall be considered valid and eligible only after receiving the scan copy of the signed application by e-mail.

Selection
A panel of experts nominated by the Executive Committee of IANCAS comprising members from the Department of Atomic Energy and the Universities will select the best thesis. It may please be noted that the decision of the panel is FINAL and canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. The awardee will be given an opportunity to present his/her work during the Annual General Body Meeting of IANCAS.
